Taylor Swift Defends Lady Gaga Amid False Pregnancy Rumors
Gaga was photographed by paparazzi at her sisters wedding in a small town in Maine, where people began speculating she was expecting. On Monday, the Bad Romance singer took to TikTok to shut down the rumors. She posted a 10second video with the I am the aesthetic audio, which says, I dont have to find an aesthetic; I am the aesthetic. I mean, Im sure theres somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me. Over the clip, Gaga wrote, not pregnant just down bad cryin at the gym, referencing Swifts song Down Bad from The Tortured Poets Department. According to Instagram account @commentsbycelebs, Swift addressed the rumors, noting, Can we all agree that its invasive & irresponsible to comment on a womans body. Gaga doesnt owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman. The A Star Is Born actress also used the increased publicity to encourage people to register to vote at headcount.org or use the same website to easily check if theyre registered to vote. However, Gagas call to action seems to have been overshadowed by her use of Swifts lyrics, as fans in the 8,000+ comments (as of press time) could only focus on the possibility of a Gaga and Swift collab. While Swift was coming to Gagas defense, she also may have been making a statement to TikTok users who have been speculating that she is pregnant as well. However, a user noted she had already shut down the rumors about her at one of her Madrid shows, while singing But Daddy I Love Him. In the song, Swift says, Now Im running with my dress unbuttoned / Screaming But Daddy I love him! / Im having his baby / No, Im not, but you should see your faces.
