How to Watch the 2024 Emmy Nominations Online

The 2024 nominees will be announced on Wednesday, July 17, at 830 a.m. PT/1130 a.m. ET at the historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and livestreamed on the official Emmy website and YouTube. Fans can also catch the stream via the Television Academys Facebook, Instagram and the Television Academys TikTok account. Popular on Variety Emmy Award winners Tony Hale (Veep) and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary) will host, along with Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego. Top drama contenders include Disney+s Ahsoka; Netflixs The Crown and 3 Body Problem; Prime Videos Fallout and Mr. and Mrs. Smith; Apple TV+s The Morning Show and FXs Shgun with Varietys senior awards editor Clayton Davis predicting that it will be feted with the top honor. In the comedy category, ABCs Abbott Elementary, Hulus Only Murders in the Building, Maxs Curb Your Enthusiasm and Hacks, Apple TV+s Loot, Netflixs The Gentlemen, FXs What We Do in the Shadows and comedy hit (and last years Emmy winner) The Bear are all considered shoeins. Davis predicts Shgun will reign supreme, followed by its FX counterpart The Bear and Prime Videos Fallout. However, given the sheer volume of series and performers, Davis predicts that Netflix will have the most nominations of any network. Three shows dominated last years Emmy Awards Succession, The Bear and Beef. Each show nearly swept its respective category in the drama, comedy and limited series races.
