‘Civil War’ movie review: Alex Garland film is driven by Kirsten Dunst but marred by lack
A group of war journalists embark on a perilous journey across a wartorn America to interview the President. Led by the hardened Lee (Kirsten Dunst), the team faces not only the dangers of combat but also the ethical dilemmas of their profession. Dunst delivers a powerful performance as Lee, a seasoned journalist who has seen it all. The film masterfully portrays the brutality of war through contrasting visuals of suffering and violence. While the supporting cast provides strong performances, the film lacks depth in character development. The fast pace leaves some plot points underdeveloped and the climax predictable.
